Reading Glasses with VR Headset
Hello,

I just bought the Oculus Quest 2 and everything is a little blurry. I have tried my regular reading glasses and they do help, but nothing is really sharp. My questions would be:
As this is my first VR headset...how sharp should the images be?
And...would I be better trying weaker or stronger reading glasses?
Thanks for any help.

My GF wears glasses and can use them with the Valve Index just fine.
Really depends on the particular VR headset.

This is pretty much normal for nearly all VR headsets. You must understand that you basically look at a pc monitor that is half a cm in front of your eyes.
The technology is just not there yet to get a clear image that compares with a standard pc monitor in games at that distance.
So a basic "blurry" look is something you will always have to some extent in VR, some games can mask it better then others.
But until we get VR headsets with like 8k resolution for each eye this is something that will not disappear. Also not only does the hardware have that resolution it also must be strong enough to run it at 90+ FPS x2 ( for each eye). That is an incredible hardware power drain and just not doable on a commercial level at the moment.

I would recommend using your glasses and then just play some games, you get used to the blurriness to some extend, especially if you play regularly.

Also, a VR view is generally about the same as focusing on something in 2-3 meter distance in front of you.
So glasses for that distance work best it you have visual problems.
