Can't download games on second ssd

Hey everyone, I am currently not able to download games onto my second SSD. It will start and then stop constantly and give a disk write error. I have scoured the internet, and have done all of the suggested normal tips e.g. download region, download cache, repair library, etc, none of those have worked. please help. Also, the hard drive is fine

Check disk a windows command or app under the harddisk properties. its rare SSD disk should run into such. you might want to check Brand harddisk support maybe they know better.

I've checked my SSD status, it is working fine, other games from other sources can download just fine. Additionally I use Samsungs drive magician to check it.

have you even added a steam lib through steam settings as multidisk ?

im sorry we other take that for granted that ofc. all know this.

1 steam lib per harddisk letter only.

Yes, and the games were downloading until recently. I'm not sure what has caused them to stop downloading properly

then you got same error as once i did , wipe that game that did not install as it should, and no i even try to remake that error , and was not able to do so.

browse to local folder and erase that game folder only , you most have a game that did not go well doing install. ( i only got that error because i mass click alot of DL. )

hope that help because if not wipe all restart the process , unless other have better idea.

Yeah I tried deleting the folder but it still is not working

i also restart steam . so it validate itself and then i could DL game without any issue. maybe its that last step. that solve it.

if steam lib dont work and nothing install in it anyway remove it and try again.

either you have access rights issue or something is read only and but then system normal will popup a msg about it. (and ofc its a NTFS disk format ?, sorry for that stupid comment but it was actual possible to make fat32 , and it took 2-3 days to figure that out with a diffrent TW user that had disk format in FAT and why game did not work.

im out of idea , something dont add up here.


maybe test disk , fill it up with data to see if something is not right with the disk here ?
just make copy of something useless data. ( call it write test )

iobit driver boost ( maybe controll driver has a driver update ? )

total out of idea , unles you want try screenshare with discord or something and skype or voice help, still i require a english OS or i cant read it anyway, i think you need fresh eyes on the case. not the first time company do that send a new guy out on a case without telly him anything other then check everything.

not saying you made mistake but its actual to bring maybe new light or information on it.

this is not about me , or you , even i solve a case with 10-15minute and other have tryed for days, its simple matter can happend to all, then you stir blind on something.

Hi, I know this thread is years old, but did you find any solution? I'm going through this exact same problem, I can install anything on the secondary SSD but steam games, I'm ripping my hears out of my head looking for answers
