Steam Deck delivery delay in Canada

I just left for my country house for a week (7 days) and received the email that I have two days to order my Steam Deck or my reservation is cancelled. There doesn't seem to be be a way to pay for it but ask to wait to ship.

I was wondering if I should order at my country house's address or regular address. I'm worried about thefts so obviously I want to be home when FedEx delivers.

Would welcome experiences with delivery delays to make the best decision.

You make the purchase with the address where you live in.

Thanks for the reply, I might have explained poorly, I wasn't going to buy it in a different country just left for the cottage
4h away in the same province for a week and got the notice I can purchase.

Maybe there is a way to have FedEx hold on a parcel for us ?

Otherwise I'll have to cancel my pre-order and I wanted one really badly :(

If it is in the same province, you can have it shipped to whichever address you choose when you make the purchase. This can not be changed after the order is completed.

Typical delivery times are any where from 3 to 8 days with most being around 5 days from the purchase time.
You could do that too, if you trust them to be there when it arrives.

Hmm thanks. I guess I'll wait to the last minute in two days and have it ship to my home as I won't be here in 8 days.
