Same time i get blackmailed by steam every day, but if i ever dare to write on my own steam profile the name of a known cheater, than i get banned 24h by steam, bc i named the bad guy.
Same time if any idiot wants to dirt my name, he can do that free by steam laws, by stamping my account with a jester clownsface. If i do same, im evil, and steam gonna block again my account.
Thats just a few of million reasons, why steam sucks !
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login and password and for the security of your computer system. Valve is not responsible for the use of your password and Account or for all of the communication and activity on Steam that results from use of your login name and password by you, or by any person to whom you may have intentionally or by negligence disclosed your login and/or password in violation of this confidentiality provision.
https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/
The reason you get in trouble for posting the names of cheaters on your profile is because naming and shaming is not allowed and never has been. You report cheaters, you do not post their names or profiles on your profile or post them here in the forums.
Account Lock would be a different thing but you would get a message to contact Support.
Avoiding to do so with your knowledge should not be too hard from now on. Just remember, that like every credible institution, noone who is actually from Steam will ever ask you for them (and neither will they contact you through friends message or some external chat, but only through the ticket system).
About the second part, not falling for phishing:
In the future, do not do Steam logins on other websites. Instead do a browser login on the website of Steam (store.steampowered - bookmark it). Every website, that needs a Steam login, will recognise this and allow you to confirm your account.
If it still asks for your name and password, it is not a real Steam login.
P.S.: Check your trading history, if any items from the new game on your account were given away during your exclusion. If so, expect to get VAC-banned at some point; cheat-farming on stolen accounts is not as prevalent as it used to be, but still happens.
[Edit:] Oh, I see, it already did happen. Well, at least you can still report the receiver account/s
Right, - nothing.
Because no one will ever read it!
"Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3" is meanwhile full of Cheaters, bc they know exactly no steam Mod will ever response to the millions reportings, they simply dont care.
Why is naming and shaming not allowed, if the guy you are naming is a Cheater ?
You get punished for calling the Evil by the name of it, but not if you are actualy cheating.
Where comes this logic from ?
VAC is an automated system that does not care about reports either.
Modern Warfare 3 is run by Activision, so everything that happens in their game is their responsibility, not Steam or Valve.
Naming&shaming is not allowed for a few simple reasons.
1. No one here can verify the claim. Screenshots, videos and demos are easily manipulated.
2. What if the account is hijacked? Want the original account owner to be the target of a witch hunt because they made a mistake?
Man, get your facts straight, you are really embarrassing yourself.
Not like random people could do anything even IF a person was cheating. Have them report that profile would do nothing. The system would could see the reportee has had 0 contact with the user they're reporting. Now imagine a large amount of users reporting like this. System showing a mass of FAKE reports could result in them ALL being flagged as fake so they all get rejected. Including the valid reports.
YOU report the person and you alone. Breaking the rules to report someone else for breaking the rules makes you no better. Both breaking the rules to get what you want.
Well, if thats so in your opinion, its your lone opinion.
Easy manipulating video of a complete 15mins match?
Show me one example of some guy who ever made that.
A guy who is cheating for the last 12 Years, cant be just hijacked, its on purpose.
I can name you right now at least 10 guys who cheat since the Game came out in 2011 with aimbot, and never got punished.
Dont tell me 60:0 / 80:0 is a clear sign this guy is just a pro player.
I do record each single match i play, and there are guys who lose 3 matches against me, and then all of a sudden they turn on theyr cheats and kill my whole team within 1 second by a headshot, while my mates are like 400m away from that guy, hiding in buildings.
Those dirty cheaters steam is helping, by not doing anything against them.
Like i said, i have recorded since last month like 300 matches on a 2TB drive where i can easy show any steam admin im not the liar here.
But do they care whether my word is true or not?
No, they simply dont react.
Valve/Steam can not help you with things happening in a third party game.
That's like going to Walmart and demanding from them to do something about the cheaters in the game because they sold it to you.
The Steam moderators sole responsibility are the forums. They have no power outside of them. They can not do anything about cheaters even if they wanted to.
Why playing an old Game?
Easy, bc there you can play at 340fps ae zero delays by your own PC.
Cheaters are everywhere, but in MW3 you can run the Game so smooth that you have a tiny chance to kill the bad Guy without any hack.
In "Warzone" you would need a 30K usd mashine for to reach that amount of fps.
Let me play on a 30k NASA PC and i will show you in any modern Game what reaction time looks like.
Unfortunatly on youtube you cant get enough money if you dont own a nice pair of OO,
and since im not born by rich parents i would need to pay the PC my self, and upgrade it every 3 months so i have all the time the highest amount of fps in the community.
So, thats why we all keep playing old Games, fps.
