Save data issue

Preface: This is most likely a self inflicted problem. I used to mess around with the regulation.bin file for Elden Ring before. I've managed to string my "modded" save file through several game updates in the past by using a Hex editor. I have Steam Cloud turned off. Last week after a patch to the game my save seemed to have broken beyond repair whilst playing the DLC. The data was too corrupted to load no matter what I did. Let's call it "save 1". So I started Shadow of the Erdtree from scratch with an older version of my save. This I'll call "save 2". All was well again. Until now.

Problem: I have two folders in appdata/roaming/EldenRing, with different Steam ID's. One belongs to my account ("folder 3") and the other comes up as private ("folder 4") when I google it. The game seems to periodically switch between which folder it reads/writes a save file from/to. Stupidly I let save 1 stay in folder 4. An hour ago I booted up the game to continue playing with save 2. To my surprise save 1 loads up instead, having somehow fixed itself. Now the game loads from folder 4 instead of folder 3. Thing is I would rather keep playing on save 2. How do I solve this situation?
