Pending Wallet Balance after selling item on steam market
Hello everyone, recently I've encountered a problem: I needed money fast so I quick sold an item in my inventory for the money to buy other on steam. But after selling my balance was put on pending. Is it a normal behaviour? And how long is it gonna take for my balance to be available? Or is there a way to make it usable sooner? Thanks a lot!

Nope there isn't away to speed this up. Please note sales will always return.

Never rely on Steam Marketplace revenue to get a timed sale. Instead, use the revenue for something else later.

Why is this a thing anyways?
Like, just why? What was so dangerous about selling something on the market at it's default price? This pending system is just a huge annoyance, not a protection at this point...

Because people like to take advantage of every system ever created.

It has more to do with the funds than the price of the item.

What "default price" you refering to?

Community market items are sold by community there is no "default price" unless you referring to buying from in-game store, and selling at same price on market, is that what you meant?

Which pending you referring to?

- Trade/Market hold is bypass if you setup Steam mobile guard on account, and been active on account for over 7 days.

- Pending funds is after item been sold, means you got the funds you wanted for your item. Also reason for this is to increase the odds for users to report items sold if their account got compromised, FYI it's people being air heads logging into scam sites, sharing account, downloading viruses on their devices, or using public devices that are affected with viruses.

Even if someone think it can't happen to them doesn't mean Jack as it not about one person it everyone's, and I seen more than enough times people think they're all that end up falling victim to scam.

It's not the selling - it's the people buying. It is in place to ensure that the person purchasing your items is not using fraudulent means so you don't end up losing the money and/or proceeds when such transaction is rolled back. Two days for guaranteed clean funds is better than waiting weeks and then seeing games, items and funds removed through no fault of your own. When the money is cleared, it is yours.

Hi so ihad the same problem before and have it now, It happens when you sell an item and the buyer has paid using yeng or rubles and crap like that.
If you sell an items and the buyer has used dollars, pounds or euros the sale goes into spendable balance immediately but if they pay using a much lower valued currency it goes into pending. You can go onto transaction history and see what you have sold and what was paid to buy it and you see all the buyers with weird currencies are the ones pending. Its really annoying but what can we do

This isn't true. If the user has paid with wallet funds they added to their account with a verified payment method then the funds are deemed clean and you can spend them immediately. It has nothing to do with currency type.
its obvious this system is made only to avoid people selling old stuff and buy new stuff with money the get from selling old stuff. taking your money to hold, so you need to add balance with real money if u really want something. people still so fkn dumb they think they not getting scammed and its only for protection xDD

Your crackpot theory hinges on people being incapable of planning ahead or being patient. Because ultimately the processes doesn't stop you from getting wallet funds or spending them. And transactions taking longer than instantaneous isn't something Valve invented.
