Games are hidden

I've had this problem for a bit, for some reason I am still seeing that games are hidden. It is not my preferences I triple checked, I should be seeing the entire steam library and yet I still see that games are hidden. like on the open world popular tittles page , "2 Hidden", I look everywhere and I seem to be pretty much the only person with this problem I don't know what to do I am pulling my hair out I've been doing research for like 10 hours and nothing on how to see the entire steam library. I have seen another user who has had the same issue I have, but his post doesn't have a resolution in the replies so I am seeing if I can get one.

I feel like there needs to be a specific button that's says "I don't need daddy valve to censor anything" / "show me everything" that just shows the entire library I just hate that I'm a grown man who's jumping through hoops to try and view everything. I mean for Christ's sake if I can see MAD ISLAND what don't you want me to see like geese. Every time I see the " x hidden" I lose my darn mind as it mocks me with the "see store preferences" I saw them like 40 times I'm pretty sure ITS YOU. I even tried allowing cookies cause I had them disabled and no dice. I'm trying everything to try and see the options available nothing. It would be one thing if its one the "Lolita gore genre" tab, like on principle it would still tick me off but I wouldn't care too much but its on the open worlds popular tittles tab. WHY at this point I just want an explanation, but like I said I seem to be one of the two people on this platform who has this problem. Is it a listing issue, its not a problem with my cookies or my browser I checked restarted my PC same thing, used the app on my phone same thing and I hate to be the that guy but I think the problem is with steam I just don't understand and it makes me mad that I can't even find out an explanation. Or even what games are hidden like why can't I just have an option next to it that says see anyway like every other thing that has a content filter even if you won't let me see the store pages at least let me see the titles of the games you don't want me to buy.

Things that might be of note. I have my own personal server where I have my own DNS run on pi hole that blocks ads. I use Firefox. I have no cookies in my browser they don't save, I have Nord. I live in America.

TLDR: I still see that games are hidden even though my preferences say to show everything.

This store search right? Not the library?

If the search this can happen due to pre made settings, as well can still happen if you enable all the content to view under preference setting, please note the two at the bottom of the 5 contents is for 18+ that meant adult games such as porno games. Games like GTA, witcher, and etc are not label for porno games.

Lastly check your filter settings when you use Steam search as that does pre config, and could hide stuff. But note issue could still appear saying things are hidden. Hope this help.


If it library, well click on view at top of Steam client, click on hidden games, then right click games then unhide them.

Same problem here and for quite some time. Can't find anything helpful about it either. All the checkboxes as mentioned in the post above are checked I also made sure that the option "Show only titles supporting my languages" is NOT checked in my settings.

However searching for games in the store I almost always get the mention that my results are filtered and games are excluded. When I uncheck the languages mentioned under "Narrow by languages" on the right side I do get all the results just like I get when clicking on the button to show all unfiltered results.

This is very weird weird because I don't have "Show only titles supporting my languages" checked in my settings on the first place and it still keeps filtering on specific languages!! This option seems to do nothing so why is it there if the filtering seems to be hard forced.

Also on the main store page that shows game sales with big buttons it also mentions that games are hidden and it is not even possible to turn the filter off there so I have no idea what is hidden there.

I also don't like that for some reason the store seems to be thinking for me about what I would want to see or not see I really would like to make this decisions for myself.
