"If purchasing for yourself, you will not receive an extra copy of:"
So I'm looking to buy Total War: Shogun 2. I don't own it.
When I go to check out it says:
"If purchasing for yourself, you will not receive an extra copy of: Total War: Shogun 2"
What does this mean? Does it mean if I gift a copy I get a copy for myself?

No. It's just reminding you that you don't get extra copies of a game. In the past, you could keep buying games you already own and horde them in your Inventory. That statement is reminding you that they don't allow that anymore.

Did you own it once before and have it removed from your library?

Edit: looks like you own it: https://i.imgur.com/kOdnEtZ.png

Oh, weird. You're right. Odd that it doesn't say "In your library" on the store page. Thank you!

If you have the game hidden it might not show up properly. That warning goes back to when people would buy large quantities of games they owned while on sale and get inventory gifts they could trade for a profit after the sale ended

Well, I don't have the game hidden either. I went to View -> Hidden Games and it's not in that list.

If you can't see it in your library you can use the Support pages to help. https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithGameIssue/?appid=34330&issueid=101

So i have:
Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition,
Age of Empires IV - 4K HDR Video Pack,
Age of Empires IV Content Editor
and at the moment there is winter sale, i see Age of Empires IV: Ultimate Bundle BUNDLE, it says COMPLETE YOUR COLLECTION! and it shows 8 euro total cost, since i have the base game, but when i add it to the cart i get this message: "If purchasing for yourself, you will not receive an extra copy of:" and the money from 8 euro become 32. So what complete your collection means? i buy all again or what? Where these 8 euros go? Shall i proceed to buy it anyway and it will change by itself and i wont get charged for game that i already own or what?
