Refund then buy again but a different version

i bought doom eternal year one pass, but it didnt have the campaign in it, i asked for a refund and i bought doom eternal deluxe, the one with campaign and DLC. will this affect my refund?

Im pretty sure not. The worst case scenario is you cant refund doom eternal deluxe now. Usually you get refund restricted when you abuse it. For example there was this guy who refunded like 10 games in the same month and got its refund option removed

would this mean i can play the game until it is over 2 hours? because its the same game so im afraid that it will add up to my history and refuse my refund because i played doom eternal for more than 2 hours

Don't play it until it's approved.

Depending on where you refund the $$$$$ to

Usually if you choose to refund it back to steam wallet, average is 24 hours

If you choose to refund back to your credit card, depending on the bank, it can take 7 days on average

p.s i always choose steam wallet when i request for refund

If you ever buy wrong version/bundle, just refund, don't buy any other version until get approved for refund this way they remove whatever came with version/bundle, and you can get the correct version/bundle you wanted.

Please note if want to reuse funds you already spent, the fastest way to get those funds back is by Steam wallet they normally hold it for 24hrs after approval for refund. Banks can take 2 ~ 14 days to process returning funds.

What if I bought a version of the game that wasn't out yet, but meant to buy the premium version that has access now, if I refund it and buy the premium, will it remove the game, it says since I have the game it will not give me another copy of it. So am I just paying for the game to get taken off my account after being verified refunded?

You wait for the refund to be accepted, then buy the premium edition.
