Computers that go to blue screen then restart itself is known as ''bsod''
is there another computer issue similar to ''bsod'?????
A BSOD is usually caused by faulty drivers and/or by loose hardware as RAM sticks for example.
Check your PC Case, cables, wires, hardware . . .
Clean up dust !! Especially on and inside the CPU Fan . . .
Check drivers for being "current" . . .
Check BIOS Firmware update . . .
OP did mention steam is doing updating to itself before ''blue screen and computer restarts''
Things I can say try out.
- Open CMD as admin type in without quotes "SFC /scannow" this will check your windows for error.
- Use Crystal disk information not the mark one want info as you want to check your storage drives health if there any problems.
- If you have any 3rd party apps that trying to interact, freakout, or even hook into Steam client or files to cause bsod want to check on that.
- If you have video driver issue from bsod error message try doing clean wipe of your GPU driver using 3rd party app call ddu display driver uninstaller, want to run in windows safe mode, launch the ddu app, make sure it select your GPU want to clear the driver for, now use only the *recommended* option nothing else, once done then reinstall your GPU driver, and see if that fixes issue, or use older video driver you knew that worked that didn't cause bsod.
And we only guess this then, we tell pppl try remove all device you dont need to play a game with mouse and keybaord. 1screen and so on back to basic what was seen as core only in the old days, and them old adice still stand then, as you are now things dont work as it should.
usb device replug all mouse and keyboard, to make sure system auto configurated them again, as i said you stry to have a stable pc , with no OC.
Dont foregt chipset drive
r and GPU drivers with freshly installed.
get out of steam Beta, if that what it takes to make it stable.
Steam/Package/beta <---should be the first file
Restart Steam.
...yep didnt fix it
edit: yeah no didnt fix it
timed the system failure at around 12:04.03, and i cant find anything from around then, all im seeing are either events that happen ~30 seconds after that, or events that happened >1 minute before
