i dunno what you're talking about, there s nothing in discord about toggling or adding any games
User settings (gear icon) -> Registered Games (near the bottom)
"Not seeing your game? Add it!"
I tried this, and none of my steam games are popping up despite visibility being on for all my steam games and it always shows what im playing on xbox, and my steam/disc are connected
Discord settings (actually called User settings, the gear icon next to yer profile name at the bottom left):
scroll down to
Below it you can allow it by default for servers with more than 200 members (not needed for sharing to work though).
With this setting your are almost set, almost:
Make sure that the privacy settings on the server on which you want to display activities are set accordingly:
o RMB on Server-Icon
If you now click on your profile name while an activity is running, you can already see it in your profile card! But it's not necessarily visible to others if you have also set up a
'Custom Status'
Therefore, one last check, IMPORTANT, make sure that the speech bubble in your profile card says
If not, delete whatever status you set there! It will otherwise overwrite whatever activity is shown on the servers. People would only be able to see your shared activities if they cumbersomely clicked on yer name. They will not see any activity status in the member list if you have set a custom status! Nomen est omen.
You can also find this setting under Discord's
Edit: Steam and its privacy settings have nothing whatsoever to do with Discord! Only what games you have registered in Discord are allowed to be detected AND that those activities are allowed to be shared with others in Discord settings decide what you see on Discord! The games that Discord can automatically detect or are manually added to Discord's game list are set right below the 'Activity Privacy' setting. Next to each game under the 'Registered Games' section you can see an eye-icon. There you can toggle the detection of each game ON/OFF separately, so, even with a game in this list detected by Discord, does not mean you have to share THIS particular game activity, no matter what you set on Steam. Steam CANNOT overrule the privacy settings of another company's app, as Discord is not meddling with your settings on Steam. You decide. You can't see my games on Steam, but you can see me playing Steam games on Discord.
(1# start the game you want to play and have it run in the baggound)
(2# open discord app on pc)
(3# go to user settings)
(4# go down to registered games and press x on the game u that to play)
(5# go back til your game and hopefully it's should work) (try again if it didnt work the first time)
hope it helped and made sense
