Refund refused because of playtime, but playtime was because game is broken!
So, I keep trying to refund the game, but the play time says about 6 hours. However, the game was stuck open in the background which is what lead to the 6 hours of time.

The game is Pax Dei, tons of technical issues.

How do I contact someone in support to get a refund for something that was outside my control?

Submit a manual request:

Account details
View purchase history
Find the game
"I have a question about this purchase"

However there is no guarantee that you will get a refund. They have no way to verify that you're telling the truth.

This is called fraud I bought the game The crew years ago with all dlcs tried to refund they said I had play time which was time trying to get the game to run I never did get it to play was because ubisoft no longer had servers for that game. don't care who's fault Steam or ubisoft steam looses Because I used to spend thousands of dollars a year and that will no longer happen lol over a twenty dollar game refund.

steam can only see if the game is running, it cannot see what is going on in the game. if the game is running, that is playtime regardless of what you are doing.

This "someone" being you. If the game is broken don't leave it running, refund it.

If it only gets "broken" after 2 hours you can still try a manual refund.

To be eligible for a refund you MUST meet BOTH requirements of less than 2 hours playtime AND less than 14 days since purchase.

It was announced last year that The Crew would shut down this year.
As an online only game it should be expected that it would one day be shut down.
The devs are not obligated or required to continue spending money to keep the online servers running.

The devs are also not obligated or required to refund you of any money you spent once the servers shut down.

It's not "fraud". Fraud has an actual legal meaning and this is not it.

How much you have spend is completely irrelevant and doesn't give special treatment. Which is good.

if a game is broken and will not shutdown use task manger to shut down steam and/or the game.

The Crew shutting down is *not* fraud. You really should read the license agreements and such that are part of the games.

Legally it's not fraud, no matter how much you scream that.

Refund within the 2 hours. My god I've refunded within 30 minutes before because I ain't wasting my time troubleshooting a game. This way months later after it's been patched I can try again and save myself the hassle and time wasted.

Games shut down especially with online requirements. Just because this has happened doesn't mean everyone gets their money back lmao.

You mean eula to agree not to disagree to play a game that you bought and never played that's b.s agreement lies and scammers it's nice to reply with 0 level on steam are you devs because a real customer would agree with me of being scammed out of money
Aluvard Jun 29, 2024 @ 6:48am
We're users like you; 0 lvl is due to account set to "Private" or "friends only" also it's absolutely not a factor in this discussion.

The Crew is not the first nor the last game with MMO elements, that was shut down.
