Think ive been scammed
Hi while using skin baron i tried to sell a pair od gloves, the trade came through at the exact same time, it may be skinbarons misunderstanding but they are asking for the profile id, however in the trade history the profile name just appears as a dot and i cannot click on it, any ideas of how to get the profile id?

your account is compromised
DO NOT TRADE
If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW to secure the account:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
6. If points were stolen, do a password RESET to cancel the awards/points before they are delivered

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.

all 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK, you get scammed or your account stolen, the only thing your getting back is the account. any items/money lost are not returned, any bans earned may be PERMANENT regardless of who was in control of the account.

take your account security more serious.
Considering it's an obvious scam site yes, you got scammed. A basic check of that site should SCREAM scam.

Hey, SkinBaron is not a scam site at all. We are a legit and trustworthy marketplace from Germany. We have been around since 2016 with almost over 1800 reviews on Trustpilot with an average of 4.5 stars.

Unfortunately, the original author fell victim to an API scam. This means that at some point in the last few weeks or months, an attacker gained access to the stream profile and was able to access the profile's own API key. The only thing that helps here is to delete all API keys and change the Steam password.

You can find all API keys here: https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

I'[m gonna trust scamadviser.com as they have nothing to gain regardless of the results it shows. You on the other hand do since your're involved with the site.

I don't need to read up on API keys, fully understand it and more. All third party sites like yours are scams.

The only legit marketplace is the Steam Community Market.
yes, anything that is not owned by Valve with regards to item trading on Steam is a use at your own risk.

Section 3 D of the Steam Subscriber Agreement:
You also understand and acknowledge that Subscriptions traded, sold or ordered in any Subscription Marketplace are license rights, that you have no ownership interest in such Subscriptions, and that Valve does not recognize any transfers of Subscriptions (including transfers by operation of law) that are made outside of Steam.
