Custom Portraits and bug reporting screenshots (steam rules and legal question)
I'm playing Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. It's a single player offline game and has the option to insert custom portraits for your in game characters. I go on google, find an image, modify it to meet the custom portrait requirements, and add it to the game (this is legal as I'm just doing this for person use).

But then I find a bug in the game and I use the in-game reporting thing to submit a screenshot and report the issue.

Is this a crime? Am I violating steam rules?

I may have uploaded copyrighted files I don't own via this screenshot. If this is a violation/crime, how do I fix it?

There's no option to retract past bug reports. This is a function of the game and it didn't warn me of legal/steam violating concerns with bug reporting like this, but it might be hidden in their terms. I also don't know who owns the images or where I got the files, as it was just a google image search a while ago. And I'm not a twicher or tweeker seeking profit from videos or uploads.

I've had the game for a while and submitted many bug reports, it only just occurred to me that this was a concern.

I got a similar question that is game specific in the game section, but this one a more generalized question regarding steam/game uploading rules.

I just mentioned the game because it sets when this situation occurs, but the question is entirely aimed at steam rules (and the legal code).

Only Steam artwork has content restrictions. You'll need to speak to the devs to see if there are any requirements on in-game images uploaded within but it's probably unlikely plus Valve doesn't really moderate other games's user content within the game itself - only if it is linked to the game hub or Steam profile.
