Uninstalled games come back
Trying to uninstall some games, but they keep coming back after PC reboot.

Tried deleting my old steam folder with steamapps and exe in it.
Tried clearing downloading cache via steam.
Tired defragging, disk doctor.

Nothing helped so far. Anybody had this issue?

Just did that and games I JUST deleted in this session came back. I tried moving forza 4 to this driver while these files were deleted and after the command, forza disappeared and these games came back

we have seen some have install a game at one disk external then detached and install it on internale then you actual have 2 version, and then you delete one and then re-attach external again then game come back.

we call that user mistake , but yeah its seen so few steam did this, and most will say not a steam issue but user did a tiny mistake.

come again, failing to understand what do I need to do?
yes, I had separate folder for steam this whole time, and I installed it on separate drive, which is this. Last one was deleted, but issue is still here.

dont forget disk failur is also possible,

have you enable write behind cache by the way, on the disk even that can have odd outcomes.

its 2 install problem is steam only point at 1 disk, so when you delte that game other disk drive will now be the activate install, its one of them things most here never though possible.

it is enabled in device manager

so is there a way to fix this? Do I need to delete my second install folder for games on the same drive?

if disk is empty you might be better of reformat it in NTFS and rechecked in every sector.

because a disk that dont do its job, aient much worth for a gamer.

most game can tell you lost or game disk if you have played 100 of hours in a game , then you dont want a disk that cant do its job right.

its option 2 thats need to be off not first one.

turn it off then, and see if disk do its job now.

good, then its not that,

you only have check disk left or reformat every sector so you know disk is okay, do know all data is gone then you do that.

im not sure other have any idea why this happend at you pc, i doubt it has done that before.
you can wait 24hours and see if other steam user has a idea or input on the subject.

You should only have 1 steam library on each drive.

Others have had this issue recently. Are these free games or free weekend games by chance?

Worst case disk is show signs of unstability, most disk thats do not live long, they simple wont get past own internal checkup doing pc startup, disk do that today, it look like such for the moment, but i and others cant say its that, you know then disk is removed from system and not before same as burnout disk, ( and that why check disk or reformat is the only way to be sure.

dont use the disk to private stuff, you wont store own pictures there as privat data ever.
moste helper will atleast agree on that atm.
