HTTP ERROR 500 Issue (Unable to Link Youtube Account) - Temp Workaround

Reason for making this Post : The Original is getting long, and apparently people are not seeing the (Semi Inconvenient) Temp Workaround to get their content placed on Steam!!!

NOTE : Steam Server seems to Soft Reboot at 00:00 (Midnight Pacific Time)
NOTE2 : This method isn't the most convenient, but its been the only way we've been able to get our videos placed onto Steam.


The Temp Work Around is :

1: a few minutes before the 00:00 (Midnight Pacific Time), sign into your Steam Account, via (Account Name) -> Videos -> Access your Youtube Videos

1a: If you need to figure out what the time difference is for you, Go To : https://time.is/PT
Go here if the problem is still not fixed by Nov 3 Timechange - https://time.is/PST

2: This will bring up the HTTP ERROR 500 Page

3: Wait till it gets to 00:00 (Midnight Pacific Time), and hit the Reload Button, or F5 to refresh the page

4: The Upload Page should finally come up so you can upload your videos
NOTE : This Page won't last long, your upload window will only be for anywhere from 1-8 minutes
NOTE 2 : The most likely reason is that once the soft reboot happens, the process for the server starts a memory buildup which gets too big and eventually overloads, causing it to get killed. When that happens, the Server then fails to the HTTP ERROR 500 Screen - which lasts for the rest of the day, untill its 00:00 (Midnight Pacific Time) soft reboot


Video below shows what is happening. Shows the Error Page, then it comes up at 00:00 (Midnight Pacific Time), and eventually fails back to the HTTP ERROR 500 page after about 7 minutes

this is absolutely ridiculous!! I appreciate the workarounds but how the flying f***! can't steam fix this issue? It's been far to long.....this error 500 isn't getting much attention as it should.....

basically valve doesn't see it as a critical issue that requires immediate attention - its been reported to them, with the same answer of we're aware of the issue and will get to it. Since this issue doesn't generate them revenue, its at the very bottom of things they need to focus on, compared to issues on their end that is more revenue critical.

should be able to upload in about 9-10min if you have videos. The window to do so won't be that long tho - hopefully this post won't get buried, but at least i went and put it up in case people wanted to get their content onto steam once it hits 00:00 (Midnight Pacific)
