He had the trade restriction BEFORE Support changed his profile name half an hour after he created his first thread, and why the replies on this thread reference both circumstances, while you chose to dismiss that with:
He was under restriction even before Support removed his name. Check out the other thread.
Then how can you be certain that the restriction has been lifted?
You are not helping the OP at all!
As always, don't skip over the details.
You can reject an incoming or cancel an outgoing trade offer; that's normal procedure and will not cause any cooldowns.
HOWEVER, if you have accepted a trade, you have accepted it. If that trade ends up on a trade hold, and NOW you're cancelling it, it's an entirely different story: you don't get to skip out of a contract signed in blood. Or maybe that wasn't Steam. Regardless, once you've accepted a trade, you don't get to cancel it. If you do, you get the 7 day cooldown.
And this cooldown outlasts the cooldown for changing the profile name.
You don't have a trade ban.
Cooldown =/= trade ban
