I dont think file transfer over local area network will work for me.

I have both computers logged in as me, both are set to anyone and none are downloading anything. both are on the same WiFi/network . but when I start the update on the game on the computer that needs it. it just tries to use the internet as usuall. i get no indication on either computer its transferring files. i can't open the udp or what ever it is since I can only use my phones hotspot for the internet. so I connected my two computers up via a LAN cable but that didn't work either
