Failed transaction PaySafe
Hello! Since yesterday evening, I've been trying to top up my balance using a PaySafe card, but for the second time now, I'm losing money. It all started yesterday when I decided to buy Squad at a discount and went to top up my balance with 10 euros. Everything was going fine until Steam stopped at the transaction processing stage. PaySafe confirmed the transaction, but the money was deducted. Several hours later, the transaction was marked as unsuccessful in the purchase history. It's not possible to return the money to PaySafe, and the operator support confirms that Steam successfully deducted the funds. I haven't received any emails from Steam at all. Support responded 12 hours after the request, saying to "try again," without mentioning how to get the money back. I thought it was just an error and while waiting for a response, I bought another PaySafe for 10 euros. The result is exactly the same, again waiting and an unsuccessful transaction. no money, no game, and no support

If the transaction was unsuccessful Steam didn't get the funds. The money will return back to your account. These processes aren't instantaneous.

Keep in mind the front line paysafe support may not be able to see all the details, like what happened on Steam's side. You might just need to be patient and wait for the money to return to your account through normal failure processes.

Getting yourself all twisted up with a narrative that the payment was successful when it wasn't and creating a problem to solve that will resolve on it's own might be making unnecessary hassle for yourself.

I've been waiting for over 25 hours, and I think that's enough time for me to get some information about where my money went.

Where is it written banking transactions all happen in under 25 hours? You're free to your opinions, but reality may not revolve around them.

Regardless, this issue comes up frequently. And there's no other way to say it. Valve didn't get the money, so they failed the transaction. And it can take days for the held funds on paysafe's side to go through their own failure process.

And if Valve didn't get the money nothing is actionable on their end. Your issue is with paysafe. I think you're getting shoddy paysafe customer support. And you probably just need to be patient because by the time their CS figures out anything the normal processes will resolve the failure.
