Can't open new game "Steam initialsation failed"

I am on Steam, it is open and I'm trying to Play Micro. Flight Simulator , Steam Edition. Get message: Steam must be running to play game. (Steam initialization Failed)

Steam most be online i think, that require client is up and running.

you can try run steam.exe as administrator

or reinstall steam over current to fix whatever that issue is.
or restore steam.bak to steam.exe and see if update can fix it again previous working version

Thanks. I reloaded Steam but the home page is different. For example, there is no Library shown. The headings are: STORE, COMMUNITY, JHI3600, CHAT, SUPPORT. It says that my account is open, and I can see there is a record of my purchases but I can't open or play a game.

I was able to get on.I reinstalled Steam and then reinstalled game still same problem. Other games open fine. Thanks

i and other have seen copy steam.dll to game own folder as a workaround, its like its look for steam the wrong place , maybe other steam user has a idea what cause this, its was more a old game issue then i think over it. ( ask that game own forum might help you better. )
