ive been hit with this message
after research i concluded it is a safety thing valve added so when you change your nickname, you get a trade hold for a couple hours.
i have'nt found any information regarding to how long is the lock for, neither for if it is possible to mannualy cancel the hold, like maybe trough your steam auth device?

In this case, the restriction is not there to protect the account owner, but their trading partner. For the last seven years, we had hijackers reroute trades to copycat accounts, that took the name and avatar of the intended trade partner, so that they could steal items.
If there was any way to remove the temporary lock, it would make the measure useless.
