Alice madness returns

Hello, I have alice madness returns game, but when I downloaded it from steam, I encountered such a problem in ea. Afterwards, I bought the product in ea and tried that way, it does not open, what do you think the reason could be?

Ea desktop app say: "Game not installed. Go to your library double-check Alice madness returns is installed properly. If the games already installed, click the three dots on the game tile to manage and repair your files."

I believe this game doesn't link to other clients - it's Steam-only or EA App-only depending where it was purchased.

The EA App is not aware of files downloaded via Steam. I believe if you go to download the game via EA App and change the install location to where the Steam version is, the EA App will recognise the files.

from what I remember it had to be activated. I think I had to make a 'classic persona' account for use with the steam version.

recently when I wanted to replay this I just download on EA - its just easier

Seems like activation stuff is gone now - looking at PCGamingWiki ( https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Alice%3A_Madness_Returns ) they write it was patched out a couple of years ago.

I have the game on Steam and not yet tried it, might see how things go...

Just installed the game, and it runs just fine here on Steam.
