Its 1 lib per drev letter , steam install location count as 1.
ps.
be happy we bother with reply, dont forget it sounds logic with you want to splt it, fact is just not same thing.
other example a game both own and is installed, will require double install storage.
i don`t wanna split it, i want this account to use the same one the other one is using. it IS currently split. you picked up the complete opposite of what i said haha.
Funny example cause i actually have that exact issue right now, i have two of the same game installed in the same drive in different places taking up double the space.
sorry if it was hard to pick up what i was saying, I`ve made sure to edit the original post so its more understandable.
we have seen other steasm user had a external disk, content removed semi same with you now then add new steam liv other place, its same steam.exe you load, but you made a mistake in the past then creating folder wrong location or did not point at right steam lib.
ps.
maybe you have not seen them ppl that made 2 vdf, in the past and did the split, this look like that. ( some still use that you seem them rewake old post time to time at steam posts, and its not recommend ask any disk experts. ) move thing around on same disk, what a waste of time.
if you are in doubt what is what, then you might want to rename all to .old
reinstall steam see new right location and then move game to right locations.
thern you can move old steam lib back then 6you now have idea of what steam folder structure is.
ps.
its almost same as reset steam, only you try avoid delete userdata. from 2 steam lib
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
multi disk ( the steam new location ) in the root or other drev letter ROOT
D:\SteamLibrary
this is recommended today, because of security has again change over the many years
windows has own root folder , this is not any difference with steam game folder.
