Cannot link to youtube channel

So im trying to send some of my videos to share on my steam but every time I try to link my account the email sign in keeps failing.

I have tried on the steam software and on the web browser but it does not do anything and keeps saying "something went wrong"

For 1, embedded browsers like Steam are no longer supported for logging into YT since 2020.

But the 2nd big issue very recently is YT having connection issues with Steam in general in browsers. You basically have to just keep trying until it works.

same here. i succeded in linking my yt acc, by accesing my steam from chrome, but now, when i click on "continue with this account"
-on steam app it says:
"This browser or app may not be secure. Learn more
Try using a different browser. If you’re already using a supported browser, you can try again to sign in."
-and in chrome/edge:
"This page isn’t working
steamcommunity.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500"
i have already an hour since i'm trying without luck.

Adding my name to the annoyed cabal of people wanting to link videos atm. I've had this happen before but then I would try a few hours later and it worked. Well...it's still not working after a few hours.

I have the same issue.. I can't add more videos on Steam from days. Is really annoying. :(

As I've mentioned in a similar thread, the issue is Valve deciding to only support a singular platform and nothing else. Doesn't matter how popular the one platform is. Once it stops working, you have NOTHING.

Having support for less popular platforms alongside the popular one will allow videos to be embedded on Steam independently from issues with YouTube.
