Steam Gift Card Codes invalid?

I gave away a bunch of Steam cards that I recently bought for a farewell party but my friends told me that the codes were invalid. The codes are different from the old codes.

They format like this: 0000001234567890123456

I am in the UAE. I recently purchased them a day ago. The shop is trusted.

Some questions:
How to redeem the new code?
Is there a cooldown before using it? Like 1 week or 3 days?

And no Steam support ain't helping. That's why I'm asking y'all. Danke Schon!

Well, most likely the shop send you the wrong codes/for another platform.
Because that are not Steam codes.
The format for wallet cards has not changed on Steam, its a group of 5 numbers/letters three times.
So XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX . Everything else is not a Steam code, period. So take it up with the store that sold you the codes, they made a mistake.

When someone says the shop is trusted, that usually means the shop is shady and hasn't scammed them before but did now.
