Steam software

I recently had to re-install my OS and for some reason steam installed onto my desktop and not program files so a bunch of random files are on my desktop and I'm wondering if it's possible to move steam with out having to delete and re-install because I don't want to have to re-install my games if possible.

Do NOT uninstall steam if it is not in its own folder. It would delete everything around it.

You can delete the files.
Or try moving them in in an own folder.

I'm trying to move steam itself (like the software and app) to my program files.

"Steam" can be pasted where you want. Run the steam exe in the own folder then, and it should be good.
Make a steam folder on C drive, and paste the steam things from desktop in it.

Just do NOT uninstall steam.

Make sure that you have a shortcut on desktop, NOT an exe.
