Can I automatically change accounts depending on which game I start up?
When I was younger, I had a Steam account on which I bought a few games. I decided to make a new account and buy all my games here. However, I still have a few games I would like to play on my old account but I'm forced to manually change accounts every time I want to play them, as you cannot merge account purchases.

I have all my games launchable from my desktop home screen and was wondering if there was a way to automatically choose which account my games launch in from my desktop to save all the hassle of opening Steam and manually changing accounts.

Thanks.

Why dont you use "Steam Family Share"? Steam even recently introduced their new "Family" system which is currently in BETA. You can join the BETA from your client settings under "Interface".

Basically with Steam Families a user can creat a "family" and invite up to 5 other users to it.
Everyone in the group shares all their games with everyone else in the group.
So everyone can play each others games. Especially in cases like yours where its just a old second account of yours this is ideal. Just create a family and add you old accounts to it and you can play all your old accounts games on the new account or vice versa.
