Russian hackers
First of all sorry for my bad english, I want to know if there is another case similar to mine, it started when a friend of mine put their profile all in russian, we talked and he said that he didnt had access to his account, then happened to another and then another and another, by now 4 of my friends have been hacked by russians with my friends no longer having access to their accounts, by far some friends and I have some theories which are the following:

-Discord bots: We all share a same discord group and we suppose that is the reason that someone got hacked, but most of my hacked friends didnt had the steam profile on discord

-Content Warning: All the hacked accounts shared a same game, Content Warning, and we dont discard the theory that the game had some leak or is being used as a hacking method

- E-mail: We also think that the hacked accounts are because my friends opened some false email coming from relatives from them, all of them (at least 3 of 4) have confirmed that they opened some email coming from a friend of them

Edit: One of them (the 4rth one) didnt gave any data nor opened any email, I say that he opened something or did something but I dont have much info on his case

Tell your friends about the Account Recovery.

Accounts don't get hacked. It's more likely that your friends have somehow been tricked into giving away their login details (phishing).

  • Have they been asked to vote for a team/tournament/pixel art?
  • Have they been asked to register for a tournament?
  • Have they used any third-party site for gambling or trading?
  • Have they logged in on a public device?
  • Have they entered any giveaways/giveaway groups?
  • Have they tried to claim any "free 50$ gift cards"?
  • Have they talked to an "admin" after being "accidentally reported"?
  • Does someone else use their PCs or your accounts?

Yup, 1 likely got compromised by using a phishing site and the hijacker than spammed links to their friends who also used the link and entered their login details to the same phishing website

They either have infected devices or they DID. It's always the same I didn't do this when someones in denial. Steam accounts do NOT get hacked

There is a "[Suspended]" next to one of your profile names in your name history. Have you added this to your name?

If you haven't, you should secure your account.
