run as Administrator

Hi there,

Wondering if someone can help figure out why I have to run stream as administrator now to do literally anything. Play games, install or update. literally anything. Can't do it unless I start the app up with admin.

Tried the whole uninstall and install, complete mess as it was and all for nothing because it changed nothing.

as long as I'm running admin, it's fine, all works. Just want to know why if nothing else.

If you're not running Steam as admin then all that should happen is that Windows UAC should pop up asking you to give it admin permissions anyway. Is that not happening?

IIRC there was a user who found it was due/related to them using CCleaner.
If not using anything like that, perhaps AV software or the like.

Reinstall steam over current to fix lost right work last tme for another steam user, and yes we all wonder what cause this in the first place.

its not ccleaner and its not AV app, ( it aient doing it on my pc, but tintingaroo is right inn something is causing this.

gl with read what steam call interference issue, its not that easy to ID it, if we knew what cause this i bet alot of ppl will tell you.
