games on steam wont update

I have been running into this problem for like a year now, every time i try to update my games it said update failed the way i fixed this issue was making steam run as admin and it would then allow me to update my games. is there a way to fix this its annoying since steam doesnt open the first time i click on it i have to open it twice then it finally opens the library

I just did this and it seems to work just fine for now except stardew valley says im missing file privileges but i assume thats because i have sampi installed

Check steam storage manager is all steam lib sill assigned to to all per disk letter you have 1 per drev. either either this lost/removed drev from steam storage ( or do you have a anti virus app that block steam.exe ) make av steam exceptions rule.

All helpers here have seena increase of lost rights its way more then 1 post per day or new user with it. ( time to make steam suppoprt ticket )

Dont forget we are user only here, and something cause this to steam rights.( or steam has system rights issue. )

Start make bertter info win10 -11 and what security app you are using windows defender or other.

Not for us here as helper for all other steam user so you can ID what cause this if we even can.

dont forget we have seen steam library crashed and not added in the steam storagemenagement anymore ( so things is not that simple ) as steam rights alone.

i and other assume its a mix of both and why its not so easy, have enough free room on ever disk is part of the problem 200gb is minium 500gb is recommended if games size is past 100gb. ) steam and the OS require free work space on disk to make temporary files.
another things most forget then they have full disk.

gl with it or contant steam support, make sure they know its way more then 1 user per day that has this issue.

afaik , we have not seen any experience helper or user have this issue. quite odd.

OP do tell if you see own mistake or what is wrong, you might helper other steam user what this is.
i dont care if you have full disk or made own mistake, with games today it take 2sec to install a game that use all disk place, so its so easy to make a steam system issue with no free work space. ( only you have access to your pc and can see whats is wrong we cant here.

then game start to be 150gb* 3 as standard you need past 450gb free space at boot disk
+ OS + free work space thats 1TB ( you also have Document foler and windows download folder ( tiny boot disk under 1TB is a issue.if you loot at pc build today.)

there is alot of things we dont say and know here. ( part of being a pc users )

so 500gb is already soon seen as most have as free work space on every disk depend on each game size
