You have to use same exact accounts. EXAMPLE Let say you have two Steam accounts called Bob & Jim, and have two Ubisoft account called Amy & Zim.
If you bought Far cry 3 on Bob, and linked it to Amy you MUST use Bob and Amy always if want to play far cry 3 you bought, when you do this you be able to play that why it only works when play from account that bought it, and the account that it linked to hence the point.
If you bought Far cry 3 on Bob, linked it to Amy, and then you decided to change Steam account to Jim, your game won't run unless you go back to Bob account, and if you did same thing on Ubisoft side where you decide to switch accounts to login to Zim, it won't work until you back into Amy account hence the point must use exact accounts you bought, and linked that all.
Hence why shouldn't be making multiple accounts if can't manage to keep track of them.
Please note while Ubisoft may allow transfer games from one Ubisoft account to another Ubisoft account this transfer linked games, Steam doesn't do game transferring period if you bought game on Bob account it gonna stay there permanently.
So if you transfer games from Amy to Zim then you must use Zim with Bob account hence Zim the linked account.
Steam holds the license, Ubisoft holds the DRM for how you can play your game.
here is a fun fact : i actually manager to play the game launching it from steam, played like couple hours and stopped, when i tried to comeback like i said it demended me to verify the ownership etc... so now am stuck downloading the game for the 8th time
and i don't even think it's my account that the game is registred to
Ubisoft pushes for DRM in their game which requires you to login to your account that linked to your Steam games, that why not wise to play juggle with them because you just keep guessing, or even forget if don't have things written down.
This same deal with EA on Steam.
