Steam Communty Ban by mistake
Hello, have you ever been banned by mistake? If so, we've encountered the same problem.
Today i want to ask you, what did you do in that situation and i want you to tell, what happened to me today.
I am TF2 player and i trade items frequently. Today i played some CS2, since there's a new case drops. And i was lucky to get one today. So i messaged my friend, that i can trade my Kilowatt case, Recoil case and 2 FN skins for 2 TF2 keys (P.S. it's all of my tradeable items in CS2).
My friend agreed and i've tried to send him a trade offer. But as soon as i pressed confirm button, i've been suspended and community banned, because... Drum roll, my account was hacked! But it was not, since i didn't share any of my information, my mail and steam got different passwords and my Steam Guard has been enable for more than 1.5 years. I've contacted Steam Support, my account was unbanned, but the password was changed by Steam Support (i didn't know about that!). The second drum roll comes in, i didn't receive new password on time, only thing i've received is Steam Support message which i cannot open, since i cannot access my account (that message had a line where it was written that password is changed). I've reset my password and deleted then reactivated Steam Guard. And only after that i received a message of new password.
That was my third community ban in a month and second one in a week. What is that insanity and have you received any apologies from Steam Support after bans made by mistake?
My account trading ability is suspended for 15 days for no reason, can Steam Support apology for wrong bans and remove trade hold?
I can provide any screenshots of Steam Support chat on any of 3 bans. Thank you for your replies!

If your getting banned because of weird things more than once
Your account is compromised

Do all this in the order its written to make sure your account is secure

1. Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

and dont come back saying you never clicked a link etc

I always check devices with my steam account online. And even in the moment i've got ban there was NO devices i don't know (i've checked it immediately). I know what i am talking about. It's not "hacked" or "compromised". Steam Support isn't perfect and sometimes people get banned by mistake. As i already said, i can provide any information to sure you, my profile is secure and there was simple human mistake.
Definitely sounds like your account is compromised. Support doesn't community ban for trading.

Are you talking to support through the ticket system, or through pm/private messages?

Regardless, I'd suggest you take all the actions Carloss listed, if just for peace of mind.

Okay, if it was compromised, how would you explain i got banned IMMEDIATELY i clicked "confirm trade"? Bad timing? I wouldn't think so. No, i'll write about the actions suggested.

1. Done. Nothing.
2. Checked, they are.
3. As i said, all devices are mine
4. I did it from different device
5. Got it
6. I've got no API
I'll ask again. How's that compromised?

All I'm saying is in all my years here, I've never seen Steam community ban someone for trading. Presuming you are keeping your account secure, you were then, in contact with Steam via the ticket system right? Not via private messages, discord, etc? (scammers love to pretend to be support agents and scam people through steam private messages)

It could be, trading all your csgo items to your friend triggered a sort of account lock, like an automated system assumed your account was stolen and the items were being stolen, so it locked the account to protect them.
Steam doesn't insta ban either. How exactly are you being notified of this "ban", how are you talking with support to get the bans removed, etc. Provide ALL the details.
Okay, guys, let me send screenshots

I've got steam community message with a new window, where's told i am being banned because my account could be potentially stolen. I'll repeat, i've got that window popped up immediately i clicked "confirm trade", it was a steam trade offer. It was me, who tried to send a trade offer. How the ban was removed is described in screenshots above.
It literally says your account was compromised. How is that a “mistake”

So you were banned because the attacker user you account to spam or whatever

Stop logging into scam websites and your “random bans” will stop

It says "it appears" which doesn't mean "it's definately was compromised".

But i didn't log into any "scam sites" with my login and password. Neither QR code.
Your account is hacked or so they think.

So stop using VPN and steam won't think you are logging in from another country.
