W11 start up, Steam app: then waiting for network
Hello together,
I've got problem regarding steamapp after W11 start up, there is a screen of steamapp, my account and it will take about 20-30 second to login into app, during this procedure it shows "waiting for network" I do not know why is the loading screen so slow, I saw the loading screen which take about 1sec, allmost immediately login ->it will open steam app window itself. I use to log on into W11 my microsoft account (not local) with PIN code. I've got fresh installation of W11 with out any bloatware and so on. just App: Inventor Professional, Steam, Office 365, PUBG, HALO MCC, Guilded. PC is connected via wifi (not cable), DHCP.
My HW:
  • MB - ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E HERO
  • RAM - Corsair 64GBKIT DDR5 5600MHZ CL40
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D
  • GPU - AMD 7900XTX
  • SSD - SAMSUNG 970 PRO 512GB, 990 PRO 2TB

I have tried to switch off iGPU in BIOS or Device manager without any changes. At this moment I do not have any idea where could be a problem. Does anydoy facing similiar problem? Thanks for any hint.

It's a forced splash screen and it's bad UI design. Imagine if all other systray apps (Google Drive, OneDrive, Windows Security, Samsung Magician, etc.) showed their splash screens upon login too. Logging into Windows would be like passing through Times Square.

Anyway, so many services startup with Windows that they are probably just delaying the speed at which Steam can fully initialise.

A lot of us just don't let Steam start with Windows, and only launch it when we need it.

Steam > Settings > Interface > "Run Steam when my computer starts". = off.

I familiar with that (bad UI and so on) but I saw on almost same HW that steam was loaded really fast ~1-2seconds, so I am asking what is the reason of that. I have already turned off services which are not necessary for OS running, third-party applications, I've got same result.
