Someone mistakenly reported me as a "scammer" on discord.

Someone suddenly added me on discord and told me that they reported my account as a mistake because allegedly they mistook me from someone who also has the same pfp and name as mine... I've been seeing clues to why this thing is getting fishy because on the screenshot they gave me, it told them that I only have 12 hours to resolve the issue before our accounts get allegedly banned from steam but its been 24 hours since they've first contacted me and I am still here (lol).
I also checked my steam notifications for the supposedly reminder from the steam team about my allegedly scam report for me to be able to create an appeal but there's none. I've decided that this is something a scammer would do and researched about it online and alas, I was correct after seeing it on the steam FAQs itself and from online articles. I still have doubts though, what should I do?

This is a well-known scam. Don't worry about it. And even if it really does happen that you are reported (by mistake) or for no reason, then of course nothing will happen if you have not violated anything.

Remember, as long as you do not give away (true ;-) ) informations and do not click on links, you can do pretty much anything. Chat scammers are an impatient bunch and quick to block you, if they suspect, that you don't chew the bait, but a couple of minutes fun should be in it.
And of course, as a goodbye kiss, you still should report all their accounts (though they are creating and burning those things by the dozens every day, it still doesn't hurt).

Thank you everyone for the help! I've already reported the discord account on discord support and hopefully that account gets banned (Idk if I can see them get banned because I blocked them).

Replied late because the problem was just resolve today.
