Problem when installing Baldur's Gate 3 (NFTS Files system)
Hello,

I'm trying to install Baldur's Gate 3 in an external hard disk (almost 1T free space). However, the installing process barely starts when I get a window saying "The game you are trying to install requires a unit with NTFS files system". What can I do with it? I don't have any problem like this with other games.

I'm trying to install the game in an external hard disk because it says there is not enough free space when I try to do it in the computer's hard disk, even if I've got enough free space in all of them. That's why I thought I should use an external unit.

Can anyone help me, please? Or tell me how I can get some support from Steam (I don't find any solution when I go to HELP > Steam Support.

Thank you in advance.

"NTFS files system"

Perhaps its a formatting issue with the drive. Check what format your drive is currently.

It is true that BG3 is the most complex video game I have right now, but if it was a formatting issue, why don't I have any problem with the other games?

Anyway, how can I check the format of my drive?

Game already told you this, what is it you do not undrestand then it dont follow NTFS rights. ( other media type do not have same rights as NTFS, and thats why other media type is not good enough. )

i could also say, if you dont have need for transfer to linux or mac, what the hell do you have other media type for. ( maybe even better to write this for windows users )

and im not even rude, then i did this reply, its your disk that try make a media format to multi system, its here you make the mistake and think windows need it.
