Humble Bundle Key Activated But Game Is Not Showing Up In Library
Like the title suggests, I have recently purchased a game bundle from the Humble Bundle website. I have never had issues with their services before, but this time something went wrong, and I cannot seem to find an appropriate support ticket for it. I have already done some research into the problem, and the only relevant threads I could find date back nearly a decade, so I figured it'd be worth making a post about. I have also already contacted Humble Bundle support and am waiting on a reply from them, but I am almost positive this is Steam's error.

Anyway, so it goes like this: I purchase the bundle "Train Sim World 4: Top Up Your Timetable ($15 Tier)", purchase is successful, copy the product code, go to Steam client, Games>Activate A Product On Steam..., paste the code, product is successfully linked with my account and activated, I receive proof-of-purchase via email from Steam (interestingly, it also is not showing up in my purchase history, but I had assumed that was just because I activated a code rather than buying the game through Steam). I look in my library - it isn't there. I log out and back in - still not there. I tried restarting the client, but nothing. Restarted my computer, and still nothing. Every bit of the paper trail seems to indicate that there were zero issues with the purchase or activation, and yet Train Sim World 4 is still not appearing in my library. If I try to enter the product code again (this time by going to my library and using the "Add A Game" button), it just tells me I already own the product I am trying to activate.

So what gives? Is it just a matter of playing the waiting game? I would love to be able to actually speak with a human that works for Valve, but apparently that is too much to ask, so I am now forced to turn to the community. Any help, however, is greatly appreciated.

Purchase history is only for games directly purchased on Steam and why it does not show.

Key activations show here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

As for not in the library do you have Show only ready to play games activated?

Support > Search for Train Sim World 4 > Select game > It's not in my library > Contact Steam Support

I have exactly the same problem: Train sim 4 showing as activated, I have checked any filters for games and there are no filters that could could exclude anything, but train sim 4 resolutely not showing in library. Clearly, there is a broader problem here than just one person.

Check your license history, not your purchase history.

Steam purchase history goes by what you bought via Steam.

License goes by what you bought, via Steam and redeem via key, or gift.

Also if you have played it over free weekend, or had it already, it not gonna pop up in recent part of your library, you have to type it out, and check it DLCs.

Also ensure filter not hiding it, if you hidden it check hidden games, and lastly if you had removed it in the past for some reason, you can restore it by going back into help section, search for game, click not in library, and click restore.

I already had a steam account. I bought a humbe bumble train sim 4 bundle, and my game is activated in steam successfully - I got the confirmation email as well.

there is one thing that might be a possibility

1) you have to wait for like 3 months for the game to appear in your Steam Library due to Region Locked

--------------------------------------------------------

i know for a fact that Humble Bundle deals in USD

but the question i want to ask is this

a) are your staying in USA/Canada??????

No, I'm in the UK, and several of the lines / engines in the deal are UK lines and engines. If it's region-locked, that wouldn't make sense, and also I think region-locked products are actually notified as such at some point in the process. There has been no suggestion that it was region-locked and did not include the UK in any way. Plus also, the deal was in UK £, so that would be even more absurd if it was region locked but not available in the UK.

Humble deals quite happily in GBP for those of us in the UK. I've seen a few posts from people over the past week or so about problems with activated games not appearing in their library which suggests there is some issue, even if it's not affecting everybody.

The OP is better off doing as suggested and contacting support about it not appearing in their library.

100% chance you activated it on the wrong account

The account you are posting from states it only owns 1 game and that was done last year in June. If you recently just activated the game successfully on that account, the game badge would have updated to 2 games owned and have a much more recent date associated with it.

If you have multiple accounts then need to manage which one you're logging into, and what you're redeeming the key on.

You can check to see if game been redeem on your account by simply just visiting license page really not hard, one click, use eyes, don't see it then you know you didn't redeem it on that account for sure.

AFAIK these are World-Wide keys = WW basically no region-locked unless done by country, or dev, which would've told you that can't redeem key for your region. Now for getting key saying error that means either you redeem too many games recently that on a cooldown for hours, or key is wrong which means got faulty code, or incomplete code given to you. If get message saying already own then means you actually already own the game/dlc, but if get message duplicate code then you got a used key that used by someone else, if get message say need to own the game 1st then means key try to redeem is for a DLC, not the game itself.

As rawWwRrr pointed out on your account the last game was last year.

Like I said 100% chance they're on the wrong account

You know it's never their fault. It's always Steam that's to blame.

Make sure you activate all 3 tier keys if you got the $15 bundle. I initially only activated the $15 bundle key and had the same issue. Likely it's because the $15 bundle includes the additional DLC, so you need to activate the $5 bundle key to get the base game activated and showing.
