Help With Payment Information

This just started happening over the last year or so (been here for way longer than that) and I just don't get what's happening so I decided today to ask if anyone knows what's going on.

Almost every time I go to make a purchase, the screen comes up asking me to put in my name, billing address, state and zip code. And underneath is a blue box you can check that something like "Save your information so it's easier to check out next time."

I do this (check that blue box) EVERY TIME this comes up. In fact, the first several years that I was here, I don't recall having to redo that info even once, though I suppose perhaps it happened once or twice, I dunno. But now, it comes up almost every time. In fact, I think it's now the exact opposite of what it was, meaning now there may have been once or twice it didn't come up, I dunno. Despite checking that blue box to save my info EVERY SINGLE TIME. Or more specifically, it comes up already checked each time. I guess what I'm saying is I look at that box every time to ensure it's checked, and every single time it is.

Yet almost every time I make a purchase now I have to redo it again. And again. And again.

Why?

No ideas? Should I contact Steam support perhaps?

Have you recently ...i mean just before this started.....added anything that auto deletes cookies /clean up pc program?

No. And I am on the same computer too. Plus, would some sort of add-on for Firefox (my browser) even affect anything in the Steam app? (Again though, I don't have any such add-ons. I actually need cookies. I'm a cookie monster. lol... no I just find what they do mostly to be good and opt out of the more pervasive ones).
