Destiny DLC Refund Hell
I'd purchased Destiny 2 Legacy Collection "2023" months ago and activated it on March 24 (along with separate activations for Destiny 2 Armory Collection and Lightfall). My 6 year old son for whatever reason decided to purchase Destiny 2 Legacy Collection "2024" which for some reason was probably listed as purchaseable EVEN though I already had activated all of the DLC included in that updated bundle. I have no idea how he was able to do it given I could have sworn it still asks for the CVV before completing the purchase. Still think it's pretty scammy to offer to sell a "new" bundle where I already own all of the DLC contained within it. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it when he bought it weeks ago and I'm well beyond the 2 hour playtime (which Steam brings up every time I've asked for a refund. What a mess...

smh

The 2023 version doesn't include Lightfall, the Forsaken pack or the 30th anniversary pack.
So as long as the 2024 pack included at least one of those you missed from the 2023 pack it lets you buy it.
As foor purchasing, if you have your credit card payment info saved on Steam it wont ask again for it when making a purchase the next time.

Best question is this

1) how did your son access his father's steam account?????

that's what I was trying to figure out because I could have sworn purchases would still need the CVV ... best I can come up with is that he bought it through my steamdeck (I asked him and that's what he said he used) ... I think purchases through the steamdeck might be less secure esp if legit purchases were made on it recently.

I get the differences between the 2023 and the 2024. But I already had all of those DLCs unlocked (not purchased through Steam though...they were keys purchased from third party stores). All of those DLCs would have shown up as "In Library". I need to check around and see if other "bundles" are purchasable...even though I have all of the contents.

lol I didn't even have to look hard.....if you go to the store and look at the store for a game you already own, the purchase button isn't greyed out or anything, you can literally re-buy the game if you want. You are shown a warning screen that you already own the game and presumably this is to allow people to buy additional copies as a gift or something but anyways....this explains that.

These 3 destiny 2 dungeons aren't shown in the steam store ''dlc'' for the game

• Pit of Heresy Dungeon
• Shattered Throne Dungeon
• Grasp of Avarice Dungeon

It is also not included in the ''legacy collection 2023'' at all

It is in ''legacy collection 2024''

--------

In other words you have no access to the 3 dungeons i mentioned above originally but your son bought that bundle and now can access them

If you had purchased those dungeon packs at the same time you bought the 2023

Before the 2024 dlc comes out.............
