Xbox Button Not Working with Game Bar When Extended Feature Support Driver Is Installed
I’ve encountered an unexpected issue with my Xbox controller, and I’m hoping someone here might have a solution. Out of the blue, my Xbox button no longer opens the Windows Game Bar, it now launches Steam’s Big Picture mode. The Xbox button, which used to trigger the Game Bar, now insists on Big Picture mode. I’ve double-checked that the “Guide button focuses Steam” option is not activated. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it comes to my settings, everything seems correct in both Windows settings and the Game Bar configuration.

Temporary Fix: The only workaround I’ve found is uninstalling the Xbox Extended Feature Support driver. When I do that, the Game Bar behaves as expected. But the moment I reinstall the driver, it stops working. Interestingly, some Xbox button functions still work even with the driver installed, like holding the Xbox button and moving the stick to control volume.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know of a solution that allows me to maintain the driver while ensuring the Game Bar works correctly? It was working flawlessly before, and I haven’t made any recent changes to my Windows or Steam settings.
