How do I bind two keys to perform one function?
In steam controller setting, I want to bind the L2+face button keys for 4 skills, e.g. L2 + A = fire, L2 + B = ice, etc.

I can only see the option to make one key perform multiple functions, but not the other way around.

Thanks!

There are mode shifts, button chords plus other ways but a mode shift looks best suited for now.

- 'Face Buttons Behavior' drop-down -> 'Create a Mode Shift'

- 'Face Buttons (Mode Shift)' -> gear icon -> Mode Shift Button = Left Trigger Full Pull (or soft pull)
Map the actions

(I'm currently using the Steam client beta so the exact names might be different, but you'll get it)

If regular press L2 does something in the game, you can run into an issue of it also triggering while attempting to execute the mode shift. One workaround is to delay the L2 action by making it a long press, or could make it a double-press, or use soft vs full pull stuff... depends what L2 does/how you'd best like to use it, but first see how things go. :)

Ask in games own forum, and watchout for is it even allowed , or you get caught in cheating that then again lead to ban or locked account. ( its game devs that make the call we have no clue what that game allow.

if im not mistake skyrim as example do allow ice fire & from 2 hands , but again you dont mention what game.

Says alot aboubt you, ask game own forum, not all game devs will accept combat enhancemnt, but hey playing stupid here is allowed, im not so sure game devs see it like that, but as steam user you take first prize here.

It dont matter what you think here, or i say its what game devs say.

Even the user that post it can get into trouble, you think steam and game devs want all games get voilated by all do it, its here you do not see the big picture, why will other legit gamers play a game then all cheating, i bet you never thought of things like that,

Games devs that dont do anything about cheater will see games stop being played alot faster. this is fact not even a best guess.

and if you knew how much they do to try prevent it, then you wont laugh at it.

and who who knows how many that has report you now, for things and post like this.

Lmao you got issues homie. You don't even understand what I asked about because it has nothing to do with what you said at first (refer to an actually appropriate answer right above yours). And now you get all triggered because I simply told you you are off topic?

How is asking for a tip regarding an official steam controller feature considered "cheating"? Do you also consider having better hardware cheating because I have a RTX 4090 with a ultrawide monitor and I can outperform majority of players out there in MP games, having double or triple their FPS and twice the field of perception are far more massive advantages compared to having a slightly better/customizable controller.

I am not asking in a specific game's forum because this is about a steam setting, not a game setting. I am interested about this feature for all my games, and 95% of my games are single player so no clue what you are on about "cheating" in the first place.
