Profile character limit on comments

I'm trying to add a copypasta to one of my friends profiles as a joke but the character limit keeps saying its too big and needs to be less than 1,000 characters but I have a website to check and it shows its less than 1,000 characters so how do I go around fixing this?

Well how many characters do you think it is?

Also keep in mind different systems may count or ignore some characters differently than you expect.

If you were to paste the text into your post you might get a second opinion about its length. If you don't want to do all that, you'll just have to cut some characters out until Steam's validation is happy.

It's 72 words or 583 total characters. I have been trying to skim it down since it was over 1,200 characters so for the spaces I have been using tabs and bigger spaces from the copypasta since its larger than a normal space and I felt this would be enough as I have removed every extra space I can without removing the picture itself, but im still having the problem. I can remove lines but it wouldn't fully complete the image

I think depending on the characters used, they count double. so I'd always try to go below 500 as a better referencepoint.
