Urgent: Unauthorized transaction
Just moments ago, I received a series of emails notifying me of several transactions totaling $721.68, purportedly made on my behalf within your platform. To my shock and dismay, I discovered that my Steam Wallet had indeed been deducted by this amount upon logging in to verify the situation.

Upon further investigation, I found that these transactions were attributed to purchases of items related to a game called Dota. It is important to note that I do not own, nor have I ever played Dota, and therefore, I have no knowledge of the specific items purchased. From what I could gather, these items appear to be in-game weapons or equipment.

I wish to emphasize that I did not authorize any such transactions, and I am deeply concerned about the security of my account. It is incomprehensible to me how such purchases could occur without my consent or knowledge.

Please help!

I just ran into this same issue. Had 24.00 USD in my Wallet. Community transactions wiped it out to .04 cents. Funny thing is.... I am 100% certain my PC is NOT compromised, I have 2FA on as well. Steam refuses to assist and says all community store transactions are final. Well; my days of purchasing games on Steam are now done. not 1 cent more will be spent on this platform for me. Honestly!? Why not give the ability to the user to Disable "community sales"?????? Also, I have NEVER given my account information to anyone for any reason. I take security very seriously.

Everybody always is certain they never accidentally got phished or used malware. Until they find out they did since it's the only way to even get a Steam account compromised.

Do the steps listed in the first post. And find out where you leaked your credentials. Staying in denial will just risk your account, and possibly other accounts to other services, in the future.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
