Most games stutter
I bought an NZXT prebuilt pc (player two prime) around a year ago and since I got it most of the games I have played have some sort of stuttering. I've tried a few things since then such as enabling xmp, changing windows/nvidia control panel settings, and trying msi afterburner, but it has barely improved.
Games ive played that have stutter are minecraft, elden ring, honkai star rail, code vein, dark souls 3, warframe, fortnite, warzone, basically most games ive played. Overwatch 2, lethal company, destiny 2 and other random small games are the only games that have had little to zero stutter.

I use a 240hz 1080p monitor and also have a second monitor that is 60hz. I have also tried using my old 120fps 1440p monitor but nothing changes.

amd ryzen 7 5800x

nvidia geforce rtx 4070 ti

32gb ram

I don't have that much PC knowledge (which is why I bought a prebuilt) and don't want to go into the realm of replacing parts, is there anything else I can try?

A simple check:

Is the cable connected from the 4070 ti to the monitor?

Some people in error connect the cable from the motherboard to the monitor.

Manually install graphic drivers

Thank you.

Which OS are you using?

Is Windows up to date? Check for updates.

Are all your drivers up to date? Graphic card motherboard etc.

Is your antivirus doing realtime scanning which can cause stuttering? If it is exclude Steam.
Try using something to check temps. Wouldn't be the first time a builder messed up the cooling. Could be a poorly mounted cooler, fans installed in wrong direction, intakes as exhaust or vice versa

HWmoniter is free and simple to see temps so you can see if its getting so hot it throttles

My temps are generally fine although my cpu goes to 90 degrees sometimes when loading onto overwatch 2 but goes back to normal after restarting the game.
Ill see them with hwmonitor.
