[Solved] Game crashes, then exe disappears and finally disk error while performing file integrity check

Hello everyone,

I encountered an issue that I’ve never seen before and I cannot find the way to solve it…

Basically, I’ve started suicide squad (please don’t juge :) ) and my game crashed during splash screen. It was working pretty fine until now btw.

After that EAC (easy anti cheat) software, during game start up, said that the exe is missing.

I used file integrity check in steam but now I have a disk error after the exe download. The new exe in the download folder is not extracted to the common folder of steam…

I have uninstalled the game —> still the same issue
I’ve tried another drive —> same
Tried to do repair method while running steam as an admin —> still no change…
Deleting the download folder content —> not working
Tried to download another game instead —> works like a charm 😡

The disk error is caused by the suicide squad exe according to the content_log file.

Honestly, it is driving me nuts…

Has anyone managed to solve this kind of problem ?
