can't open chat after i recieved a message

Hello.

I cannot open chat messages from the friend list.
I have a notification that i have a message, but when i click on the message it will simply not open it.
How can i help this?
I have this a very long time now and it starts to annoy me, so now i'm asking help.

i have restarted the steam client and my pc and it still doesn't show it.

I'm also wondering when will they fix this stupid bug. It's been a few years now since the new client and they haven't done anything to fix it. Why do I have to do something to fix their bug. Fix your code Valve!

Chat window doesn't open at all, or its there as you see it in taskbar, but not within your screen?

If your probelm is second one, you could try some shortcut keys that maneuver the opened window around the screen, like ctrl+logo + arrow keys. There's a way to move around window by pixels, but I forgot about that one (you can look it up).
