Achievemts no longer popping up during gameplay

So recently i noticed that the achievements i earn in games are no longer popping up as notification nor producing a sound while i am in game. I have both my steam overlay and notifications enabled but i am still receiving only notifications about messages and invites not achievements.

The issue seems to persist over all games i have been playing recently: Abiotic Factor, Sun Haven, Tiny Tina's Wonderland.
I have to manually check for the achievements i earned instead of being notified when i actually earn them.

This started happening not too long ago so i am assuming the cause of this glitch/bug is one of the steam updates. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated

Hello, head up to steam client and go to steam on top left corner then notifications and make sure it's not on "never" on the first option.

That sounds like a good thing, who wants popups during game play. anyways I think you know what ya have to do, reload Steam. Good Luck.

Everyone has their preferences.
I for example want to see the achievements i get.
Reloading steam does nothing and this problem has been going on for weeks now

im pretty sure mine are still popping up, ill have to check again.

+1 Same issue here. Have not changed any notification settings and it just started happening. Double checked settings and they should be popping up in-game but pop up after closing game.

Also, if you conduct a dialogue in the chat during the game, then when you exit the game, a notification appears about each phrase in the dialogue.
Also after exiting the game, one after another, a notification appears about who entered or left the game during the entire time that you played
