i have a 1 gb internet package , download games on ssd and my download speed is always so slow . my ssd is fine , and when its all working i get 100mb downloading gaming from steam , any fixes please , tried alot of the suggestion on youtube and they dont work

Steam defaults to showing speeds in MB where as internet providers and speed test use mb.

8 mb/megabit is 1 MB/Megabyte

So if you're getting 100MB thats 800mb

I get about 930 megabits, and I can download at a maximum of about 116 megabytes. As Supafly says there's a different between bits and bytes, connection speeds are advertised in bits and have been since dialup. Download speeds are usually measured in bytes because that's what we use when actually working with files.

It's a little complicated for no technical reasons, but a lot of long standing marketing. And 1gigabit sounds like more than 116 or 125 megabytes.

And that's not even to get started on the difference between how bits/bytes are sometimes represented using base10 and other times base2.

Like my 930Mbps is supposed to be 1Gbps, and it is, if the ISP is selling 1,000,000,000 bits is a Gigabit, which is the base10 value. The base2 value is 1,073,741,824 bits though, and base2 is what's commonly used on systems.

yeah but im getting 1 -3 mb download speed even my brother same connection , geta 110-130 mb download while downloading on steam , i wantr my speed how it should be , there somthing going wrong ,

Steam downloads in compressed chunks, once a chunk is down it gets decompressed and installed. If the CPU and/or drive is at or near 100% the DL will slow and may even stop until the decompress and install is complete.

Open Task manager and see what CPU and the Drives usage % is at when this happens

Then the SSD is busy downloading, decompressing and installing.An SSD should NOT be having issues with those speeds. Try running Crystal Disk Mark to see what it's speeds are like normally. That should help highlight if the SSD

i ran that already , says the SSD health is fine , 99%
total host reads - 34819 gb
total host writes - 32558 gb

i just find it so strange im having trouble with mine , but my brother in the next room his running fine with over 100MB donwload , and im here struggging like get a good 10MB

What are some of the differences between your two systems? Those differences may matter, either hardware or configuration.

dont know the exact differences between are pc , he has a better pc overall than i do , cpu / gpu , but that shouldnt matter when downloading games ...

I was having the same issue, my internet speed is 1 Gbit and still terrible downloads. I found out that my SSD (on which Diablo is installed) didn't have enough space for the patch to decompress and Steam was using my HDD (8TB storage) to download and install the patch.
HDD being HDD was struggling and stayed at 100% utilization...

my HDD isnt being used while downloading a game on my SSD at all ,0% in task manager

also i have 178gb free On my SSD , the game is PUB G Which is only 40 gb .....

when i first downloaded the game , smooth alomost 100 MB download , no complaints , downloaded less than 100 minutes , now struggling to get 5MB

Have you tried to change you download region?

Here I had issues the last 2 hrs to downlaod anything, locked at 10 mb/s. Than I changed my download reagion (steam - settings - download - first option) once at UK and once at France and in both cases my download just skyrocketed to 750 mb/s rofl.
