Back Buttons for Third-Party controllers?

I recently just bought a Gamesir T4 Kaleid and it's great to handle. I noticed that it had back Buttons (L4 and R4) however, it doesn't seem that I can map them using Steam Input, as they don't even show on the menu. Using the Gamesir app to configure the buttons only lets me map them to other buttons on the controller, not keyboard inputs, which I was hoping to do. Is there any way to do this?

I have the same question, but for the Gamesir Kaleid (rather than T4 Kaleid), so basically the same question.

Are the rear buttons visible outside of the controller at all aside from emulating another button?

It's simply not possible with certain gamepads. The gamepad has to expose this button to the system for this to work and if the gamepad doesn't that, then not possible.

for real? still no way to use those buttons for anything but other controller buttons? or maybe a combo at best? i would like to map them in a game but it seems undetected there has to be a way to do this...
