I'm not sure what this is even supposed to mean. How is a code an .exe?
Can you request a refund or do a chargeback?
1. Delete whatever file you downloaded from scammer.
2. Download www.malwarebytes.com/ enable rootkit scan via settings, and do full system scan. For all you know you may had installed a virus.
Did you login to steam from another site? If yes I give you setups, if no then don't worry much.
Now the sites you buy from a gray market sites, that meant they either sell keys themselves they buy from other people that bought the keys from retailers, or they allow listing on their site for people to sell their stuff just like eBay, except this is where eBay does not approve of people selling pirating games, or scammers, that why these gray market sites but game from don't be honest half the time.
So up to you, you can recontact site demanding an actual key, not an .exe, or link to another site, or you can ask for a FULL refund in back to your bank, you do not want store credit, or partial refunds make sure tell them that very clearly or else they do what they want to mess with you for days, or you can just chargeback they can't do anything to you, they're a gray market site that allow these kind of problems to happen.
My advice if you ever decide to buy from gray market site, never, and I mean never download .exe, or login via 3rd party sites they direct you to, too many scammers trying to do these things.
Otherwise stick to legit retailers use isthereanydeal.com as it's a tool site that only show legit sites that deals directly with devs, and publishers.
