Steam Capping my internet speeds?

I have two computers both run on Ethernet cables. 2 years not a single problem now all of the sudden steam is capping my speeds at 13mbps but any other applications I get 120Mbps+. I know for a fact it’s only steam and it’s affecting both of my computers. Can anyone offer a solution it would be greatly appreciated

At the risk of sounding like a wise ass, I think the only thing you can do is step away from Steam

You didn't say if you've checked the obvious, so I'll just ask:

Steam > Settings > Downloads

Is 'Limit Downloads' off?

Is 'Throttle downloads while streaming' off?

also, are you sure you didn't confuse megabits with megabytes?

I don't think they're capping speeds, I get around 90-100Mbps on Ethernet. Never had an issue with this.
